·10 – 25 years’ experience in DESIGN of Fire Fighting Systems
Firefighting design engineer capable of working alone and as part of a team, taking the lead in elements of the design under the team leader’s direction. Candidate to have a broad and detailed knowledge of firefighting installations and their component parts, standards, regulations and design requirements including NFPA Standards and relevant standards for hospital designs. Experience of hospital design is an advantage.
Knowledge of sprinkler system design and layouts, FM200 systems and their application in heavily serviced buildings, knowledge of statutory approval processes and installation requirements are required for this role. The individual should be capable of working to high, demanding standards and timescales and be able to communicate effectively with other design team members and site construction staff to discuss and resolve design elements both on drawings and on site in a timely manner.
